About Us

The Goat DNA Bank at Trent University is a database of genetic information that allows effective tracking of goat pedigrees, breed diversity, and quantitative traits such as milk production. Our research laboratory in the Natural Resources DNA Profiling & Forensic Centre (NRDPFC) is located on the 1,450 acre campus of Trent University along the Otonabee River in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Our work is funded in part by the Centre of Excellence for Goat Research & Innovation.
